Philips taps PBSP to deliver innovations to Super Typhoon Yolanda survivors
As part of its goal to deliver innovations that matter, especially to those who need it the most, Philips Electronics and Lighting, Inc. Philippines recently turned over almost PhP 8M worth of medical equipment to Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) as donations to those affected by Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).
The donations consist of one SureSigns VM6, a user-friendly, portable, and versatile bedside monitor that accurately measures vital signs; one CompactXtreme ultrasound system; and one C-Arm Surgico, a portable and reliable platform for high-frequency X-ray generation.
Through this, PBSP member-company Philips Electronics aims to provide access to quality healthcare to Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center (EVRMC), the identified recipient of the donation.
Apart from this partnership, PBSP has also been conducting ongoing relief and early recovery operations in the Visayas region with other companies and private individuals to reach out to more communities affected by the typhoon.
