PBSP participates in DENR Solid Waste Management exhibit
In commemoration of the 13th signing Anniversary of R.A. 9003 or The Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000, Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) and the National Solid Waste Management Commission of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) have partnered in a Solid Waste Management (SWM) exhibit with the theme “Effective SWM Programs through Dynamic Public and Private Partnership”.
Under PBSP’s Center for Corporate Citizenship, it will be showcasing Zero Basura Olympics (ZBO) for Business in an exhibit that will run from February 10-14, 2014 at the DENR lobby.
ZBO for Business is organized by PBSP and Earth Day Network Philippines Inc. (EDNPI), in partnership with Pollution Control Association of the Philippines, Inc. (PCAPI); Philippine Business for the Environment; National Solid Waste Management Commission, and the DENR to recognize corporations that step up and give the necessary attention to proper waste disposal in the workplace.
Other corporations and organizations like International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI), Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), and Philippine Plastics Industry Association (PPIA), among others will also be presenting their own programs that are aimed to protect the environment and promote biodiversity.
