Organizations unite to strengthen healthcare management for individuals with special needs

Forty-five staff from Elsie Gaches Village (EGV) participated in a 6-day Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support Training by the Philippine Red Cross – Manila Chapter to further their skills in handling emergency scenarios. The conduct of the training is part of the project “Strengthening the Healthcare Management of Elsie Gaches Village” funded by The Hershey Company through United Way Worldwide and Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP). EGV is the only government institution that has care and recuperation facilities for mentally challenged individuals, persons with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism, and other related conditions.
