Help extended

THE MVP Group of Companieshas mobilized its resources, such as relief goods, financial donation, and rescue team to help victims of floods brought about by the tropical storm”Maring,” which has killed and injured some and left many others homeless. Michael Toledo, senior vice­ president at Philex Mining Corp. and head of the MVP Group ofCompanies Media Bureau, said officials of Philex Mining, Maynilad Water Services, Inc.,Metro Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC), and PLDT­ Smart Foundation, TV5 Tulong Kapa­tid, and One Meralco Founda­tion, among other companies under the MVP Group, held a meeting with Mr. Pangilinan on how to provide further help for the flood victims. He added that the group is also coor­dinating with the Philippine Business for Social Progress, a nonprofit social development entity, through its executiv edirector, Rapa Lopa, in the dis­tribution of more relief goods.
