Accenture in the Philippines, a member of the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), recently conducted a tree planting activity at Rodriguez, Montalban, Rizal.
Some 60 Accenture employee volunteers enthusiastically came together to plant 1,550 fruit bearing seedlings in their adopted five hectares of land, in support of the project to reinforce the rehabilitation of the Marikina Watershed.
Aside from this environment project, Accenture Philippines also partnered with PBSP for its Skills to Succeed project, which aims to empower people by building their abilities to help them contribute effectively to society as workers or entrepreneurs. Nescel Asuncion, Accenture Managing Director Sponsor for Corporate Citizenship, added that Skills to Succeed also supports the belief that “it is critical in this global age to have the right skills to build confidence and capabilities that will open doors to employment and independence.”
