Banco de Oro Foundation partners with Gawad Kalinga, Catholic Relief Services (USA), International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies to build homes for the poor. More than Php40 million has been invested in 72 houses in two towns of Bulacan and houses for another 100 families living in danger zones. BDO also built a Microfinance Center in Laguna for the CARD-MRI Development Institute. In 2009-2010, BDO partnered with ABS-CBN Foundation to distribute relief goods to 70,000 typhoon-affected families in nine provinces and Metro Manila. It also linked up with Don Bosco University for an automotive skills training for out-of-school youth, and donated medical equipment to 11 public hospitals.
