CEMEX Foundation of Cemex Asia Pte. Ltd. won recognition for its “Adopt-A-Species” program since its launch in 2007. This project aims to promote biodiversity conservation by encouraging companies and individuals to “adopt” a specific species on the “red list” identified by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources.  In this way, organizations have the chance to save endangered species by funding and initiating research, sponsoring interventions, and educating local communities on animal care.
