HARBEST AGRIBUSINESS CORPORATION
Harbest Agribusiness Corporation implements the Harbest Educational and Livelihood Program (H.E.L.P.) to impart modern agricultural technologies to vegetable and fruit farmers, thereby helping to raise their income. This training program is a hands-on course held in partnership with the Department of Agriculture, Department of Agrarian Reform, NGOs and LGUs. The company’s three-hectare farm land was recently designed as a model training center for this purpose, with courses on natural farming and bio-diversity. The center has a forested area, a vegetable demonstration area, greenhouses, composting area, lecture sites, hog farm, and living quarters for the trainees. H.E.L.P. also provides financial grants to students of agriculture in colleges and universities to support thesis writing and research undertaken on agricultural technologies.
