IBM PHILIPPINES, INC.
IBM Corporate Service Corps’ “Helping Create Interactive Flood Maps for a Smarter Philippines” won the Asian CSR Awards in 2009. In this project, IBM experts from Germany and India collaborated with the Philippine National Institute of Geological Sciences to develop www.nababaha.com, an online interactive flood hazard map for the country. Aside from serving as a flood prediction system using rainfall data, it also holds anecdotal accounts from communities. This is supported by IBM volunteer employees, UP Diliman Computer Science Department, and student volunteers. As its educational CSR, IBM also supports the Asia Pacific College as its educational CSR, which it founded with SM Foundation in 1992.
