Pfizer, Inc. implements the Blue House Project that tags “Buildings for Health and Wellness,” a joint venture community development project with PBSP.  In 2009-2010, Blue House benefited 623 households from Barangay Sula, Bacacay, Albay.  A new Barangay Health Station with a complete line of medical equipment was constructed.  More than 50 Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) were trained and accredited by the Provincial Health Office.  The project also inspired Local Barangay Councils here to invest in health care, which led to an increase in the number and quality of health equipment and financial support to the BHWs. Within the year, construction of the Pfizer Blue House, the project’s hallmark, has began. The provincial and municipal LGUs, with the barangay government of Sula, mobilized funds for the construction.  The facility will be equipped with basic medical equipment and delivery, consultation, and examination rooms to better serve the communities.
