PHILEX MINING CORPORATION

Philex Mining Corporation focused on the development of various agricultural business centers, namely:  Livestock Techno-Business Center which includes a gene transfer unit to improve livestock breed; Coffee and Agro-Forestry Center to produce Robusta and Arabica coffee varieties and other forest products; a Meat Processing Center; and the Integrated Agri-Aquaculture Center which includes organic vegetables and cut flower production.  In addition, it started a greenhouse aquaculture project. These centers serve as venues for technology access and the holding of various training activities that demonstrate how responsible mining can be a catalyst for community development.
