LOPCO Tshirt Monoprinting at EGV

Employee-volunteers of the Lima Organization of Pollution Control Officers (LOPCO) and around 20 upper trainable clients (mentally-challenged individuals) joined the T-Shirt Monoprinting activity in Elsie Gaches Village in Alabang, Muntinlupa City on April 11, 2019.

Through this activity, the clients  are able to express their selves through art by crafting the design of the print they would like to have for their t-shirts. It is also an effective way or method used by EGV staff to train clients to live independently and improve their social interaction skills with co-clients.

The activity is just one of many potential sources of livelihood and income for both clients and EGV. House parents and EGV staffs join bazaars and sells quality finished products to visitors coming to the center. In 2013, PBSP facilitated the T-Shirt Monoprinting workshop as part of the Life Skills Enhancement Training program supported by the Hershey Company and United Way for selected staff of EGV and eventually echoed training sessions to the upper trainable clients. With LOPCO’s support to T-Shirt Monoprinting Activity, more EGV volunteer staff and house parents will be trained for the skill which will later on facilitate retraining sessions to upper trainable clients.
