Messengers of Humanity: Lemia Simbulan

As we celebrate World Humanitarian Day this month, we honor the people we work with in reducing poverty in the Philippines. They are our Messengers of Humanity:

Meet Ms Lemia Simbulan, Executive Director of the Andres Soriano Foundation, our partner in distributing shelter repair kits in northeast Palawan. We met her over the weekend when we visited beneficiaries of our shelter repair kits in Brgy. Idupoy, Agutaya, Palawan.

She has been with the foundation for more than 15 years. She told us “Ako yung lider na hindi mo kailangan sindihan ang puwet para pumunta ng field. Lagi akong nasa field. (I’m not someone you need to push so I will do fieldwork, I’m always on the field.”). #MovingAsOne
