As part of our Project New Dawn efforts, PBSP distributed 331 shelter repair kits (SRK) to affected households in Barangay Pili, Madridejos, Cebu. The shelter repair program, worth PHP 6.48 million, is in partnership with Habitat for Humanity.

Donors who pitched in for the program include Amway Gesellschaft, Cargill Philippines Inc., Fluor Daniel, Inc. (Philippines), Give2Asia Philippines, and MSM Cebu, Inc. During the activity, employee volunteers of Fluor Daniel Philippines also joined in the distribution of materials which include coco lumber, plywood, flat and corrugated GI sheets, nails, hammer, and saw.

In the succeeding months, PBSP will continue to distribute additional 600 SRKs and implement projects on health, education, environment and livelihood to the three towns of Bantayan Island and Daanbantayan of mainland Cebu.
